Cowichan Research Station

This outdoor interpretation structure  is a design, build  project located at the Forest Research Station at Lake Cowichan on Vancouver Island, B.C. It examines the forest industry in B.C.

It was designed to withstand helicopters landing and taking off next to it, hence the tripod structure.

The interpretive panels are mounted on a rotating three-sided structure which is suspended from a central pole.

The structure incorporates wood from six different kinds of native trees found in BC.
